Bank of America dispute help

Account-takeover transfers and denied debit-card disputes.

Start with the account and the records

Identify the service used for each transfer. A debit-card purchase, online account transfer, Zelle payment, and traditional wire can require different factual and legal analysis.

A denial does not automatically establish a legal violation. We consider the transaction, evidence, reporting history, and response together. Start with our EFTA guide or credit-card billing dispute guide as appropriate.

Arbitration and filing costs

Bank of America’s current online-banking agreement includes arbitration for covered disputes relating to online and mobile services and provides an opt-out process. This is a service-specific agreement: do not assume it governs every deposit, card, or investment dispute. Review the agreements and amendments actually applicable to the transaction.

An arbitration clause is not a promise that every filing fee will be paid by the bank. Costs, forum rules, prerequisites, and any individual or mass-arbitration procedures require separate review. Bank of America Online Banking Service Agreement. Source checked October 3, 2026.
