ABOUT BANK DISPUTE LAW

Focused on consumer banking disputes.

Bank Dispute Law focuses on consumer disputes involving unauthorized debit card transactions, credit card billing errors, and denied bank claims.

A useful review starts with the details: how the transaction happened, when you reported it, and what the bank considered before reaching its decision. Account statements, security alerts, and dispute correspondence help put those details in context.

Contact us to discuss your situation and whether legal representation may be appropriate. An initial inquiry does not establish an attorney-client relationship; representation and fee terms are addressed in a written agreement.

BEFORE YOU REACH OUT

A few common questions.

Where do you accept clients?

We consider consumer bank-dispute matters from clients in a variety of states. Our attorney is licensed in Illinois. Representation outside Illinois is available where permitted by applicable law and is evaluated individually.

What should I have ready?

Your bank’s name, an approximate disputed amount, key dates, and a brief explanation are a helpful start. Keep any statements, denial letters, and related messages available for review.

Do you review Chime disputes?

Yes. We consider personal-account Chime disputes, including denied unauthorized-transaction claims and account takeovers. Read our Chime dispute lawyer page or submit a free case-review inquiry.

Can I reach out if I’m not sure what happened?

Yes. Tell us what you know and what remains unclear. The initial review helps identify what additional information may be needed.

Does a case review mean you represent me?

No. An initial inquiry or case review does not itself establish representation. If we agree to work together, the scope and fee terms will be addressed in a written engagement agreement.

How much does an initial case review cost?

The initial case review is free. No attorney’s fees unless we win. We advance reasonable and necessary case expenses. If there is a recovery, those expenses are reimbursed from the recovery after attorney’s fees are deducted. If there is no recovery, we do not seek repayment of the expenses we advanced, subject to the exceptions in your written engagement agreement. Any fees or sanctions assessed against you for false, frivolous, bad-faith, or harassing claims are separate. Your written engagement agreement explains the fee calculation and expense terms.
