Regions Bank dispute help

Unauthorized ACH withdrawals, debit-card denials, and recurring-payment disputes. Read the guides, preserve your records, and understand what a free case review can address.

Start with the account and the evidence

Separate unauthorized ACH debits from card transactions. For recurring withdrawals, keep the original authorization, cancellation messages, stop-payment request, and later debits.

A denied claim does not by itself establish a legal violation. Review the transaction, reporting dates, and investigation together. The EFTA guide explains consumer electronic-transfer protections; the FCBA guide addresses credit-card billing errors.

Arbitration and filing costs

Regions’ September 2026 deposit agreement contains a mutual arbitration provision with a written pre-arbitration notice and an informal conference process. It allocates required institutional costs to Regions and provides reimbursement of filing fees after a favorable ruling on a claim. Review the required preliminary steps and applicable fee rules before filing; reimbursement is not automatic upfront payment.

Source: Regions Deposit Agreement. Checked October 1, 2026. The version applicable to your account, amendments, opt-out history, exclusions, and administrator rules must be reviewed before choosing a forum. Arbitration costs are separate from attorney’s fees and case expenses.

Frequently asked questions

Is cancelling a subscription the same as disputing a debit?

No. Cancelling future services, revoking payment authority, asking the bank to stop a payment, and reporting a posted error are different actions. Record each one and its date.

Will submitting an inquiry start an arbitration?

No. A case-review inquiry is not a legal filing or a formal notice to the institution. Representation and any filing require further review and agreement.

What should I provide for a free review?

Start with the institution, transaction type, amount, first-report date, and response. Keep statements and notices available. Do not include passwords, PINs, or full account numbers.
